Anime Tattoos

Anime tattoos can go in so many different directions.

Maybe you want your favorite character exactly as you remember them, a specific scene from a series, or something inspired by the character without recreating one exact image.

They can be colorful and bold, black and grey, simple, detailed, or worked into a completely custom design.

Luke enjoys working with anime inspired tattoos and bringing those characters and ideas into a design that works well as a tattoo.

If you already have reference images saved, send them over or bring them in. You do not need to know exactly how you want the finished tattoo to look before reaching out.

Pokémon Tattoos

Pokémon tattoos are another favorite around here.

Luke has tattooed plenty of Pokémon designs and even has his own Pokémon Get What You Get machine at the shop.

Give it a spin and let fate choose your Pokémon or pick one of Luke’s existing Pokémon flash designs.

His Pokémon Get What You Get tattoos can be done in color, shiny, or black and grey.

If you have a specific Pokémon or custom idea in mind instead, Luke can work with that too.

Neo Traditional Tattoos

Luke also enjoys neo traditional tattooing.

Neo traditional takes a lot of the bold structure of American traditional tattooing and allows for more detail, shading, color, and dimension.

It works especially well for animals, characters, fantasy inspired designs, flowers, and other subjects where you want something bold but still detailed.

If you like strong outlines and color but want something with a little more depth, neo traditional may be a good fit.

Ornamental and Blackout Tattoos

Not everything Luke tattoos involves characters or color.

He also works with ornamental and blackout designs!

Ornamental tattoos focus on shape, pattern, symmetry, and the way a design flows with the body. They can work as individual pieces or become part of a larger project.

Blackout tattooing uses larger areas of solid black and can incorporate negative space, patterns, or ornamental details.

For larger ornamental or blackout projects, we usually recommend setting up a consultation so Luke can look at the area, any existing tattoos, and how the design can flow with the placement.

Fine Line Tattoos

Luke also works with fine line tattooing, along with the rest of our artists here at Linden Street.

Fine line tattoos use thinner, more delicate linework and can range from simple designs to much more detailed pieces.

The best artist for a fine line tattoo usually depends on the subject and overall style you are looking for, so feel free to reach out if you are not sure who would be the best fit.

Flash or Custom Tattoos

You do not have to walk into the shop with a completely finished tattoo idea.

Luke has flash available in the shop and regularly adds new designs, including anime, Pokémon, and other designs inspired by the things he enjoys.

If you already know exactly what you want, he also takes on custom tattoo projects!

Send over your idea, placement, approximate size, and any reference images you have. Those references can help Luke understand the direction you are going for, even if none of them are exactly what you want tattooed.

Walk-ins and Appointments

Luke takes both walk-ins and appointments at Linden Street Tattoo Company.

For flash, smaller tattoos, or a spin on the Pokémon Get What You Get machine, you are always welcome to stop by and see if he has availability.

For larger custom pieces, detailed anime tattoos, ornamental work, or blackout projects, booking ahead is usually the better option.
